longest time, thank you Purdue

Fewer Females in Computer Science

Purdue University's computer science department
has implemented a few changes in order to attract more female students to its
program. The department has created a Recruiting Committee Task Force to combat
the popular stereotype of computer scientists being nerds with pocket
protectors and poor social skills. The university plans to sponsor visits to
high schools in Indiana
to discuss the computer science program. The task force also plans to stress
how varied careers are for people who obtain technical degrees. ...
