Abstract:
Steve Bearman and Nuri Halperin will speak and build a complete and
practical ASP.NET MVC application, from start to finish, showing rapid
application development (RAD) with MVC. (even quickly building a
database with an Entity Framework data access layer)
This will
be *the* jump-start presentation to get developers actually going with
MVC. The presentation is both enjoyable and practical, with well
motivated steps and an interesting presentation. In each major area of
the development we clearly show necessary steps, leveraging what
Microsoft provides, recommendations, and best practices.
The MVC framework is even better than we all expected.
About the Presenter: Nuri and Steve are .NET developers in the
Los Angeles area. They are now working as a team to provide practical,
professional presentations (among other things).
They have spoken at most of the Los Angeles area .NET user
groups and are regular speakers at Code Camps. At last month's San
Diego Code Camp, for example, there presentations were:

Jon is most at home spelunking, trying to figure out exactly how things work. Jon wrote Essential ASP for Addison-Wesley, and co-authored Mastering Visual Studio.NET for O'Reilly, and is currently working on a book on REST and WCF for O'Reilly. Jon has also been involved with Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation since early betas and currently is interested in helping Microsoft developers learn about REST.
